The long wait is over! After the first spy photos of the new 2017 Nissan Micra that were released a few days ago, Nissan finally shared two teaser photos of the expected model ahead of its international debut during the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
The 2017 Nissan Micra, which will be manufactured at the plant of Renault in France, will share some elements with the CPM-A that will mount the next Nissan Juke.
As seen in the teaser photo, the Nissan Micra will be under the Nissan Sway concept and will present a sportier body than its predecessor, which is highlighted by its aggressive front. This would make the Micra a stronger competitor in the compact segment, pitting it against the 2017 Kia Rio and the new Citroen C3.
The first teaser photo shows the front of the Nissan Micra. It has a straighter front with extreme angles and corners. The design would likely remind car Nissan enthusiasts of the prototypes presented by the brand before in the Nissan Pulsar.
The second teaser photo shows the back of the Nissan Micra, where a more muscular and sharp bumper is apparent and a small-sized optical lights are placed horizontally. The rear window will be steeper and the profile will be cleaner thanks to the rear door handles that are hidden in the pillar C, which makes the Micra look sportier.
As we say, the 2017 Nissan Micra will be presented during the upcoming annual Paris Motor Show, which will be in a few days. The second teaser photo shows a text that warns us that "a revolution is coming." But what revolution?
We know nothing about the engines that will be under the hood of the Nissan Micra, but is believed to resort to mechanical one liter and 1.6 liter turbochargers. In the diesel range, we will find the 1.5 liter, with the horsepower still unknown. However, the tagline revolution makes us think that there's something more coming in the engine. We'll just have to wait and see.
