Apple confirmed that they have opted out the headphone jack in iPhone 7. However, it appears that the company might do the same thing for the 2016 MacBook Pro.

The Cupertino-based company will release the latest flagship laptop next month, sources have claimed. However, the tech firm is asking the owners of the previous models if they are using the headphone jack.

The Verge revealed that the tech titan has been sending surveys via mail. One of the questions that caught attention is: "Do you ever use the headphone port on your MacBook Pro with Retina Display?" The survey question indicates that the tech giant may have plans to remove the feature in their much anticipated product.

The company has been known to be extremely stringent when it comes to giving out details regarding their upcoming products. But if iPhone 7 would no longer contain the headphone jack, they might do it as well for the 2016 MacBook Pro.

On the other hand, it might also introduce the Bluetooth-powered AirPods to the MacBook users. This is their newest product, but consumers will still have to spend an extra dime if they want to enjoy music using a pair of earphones.

Furthermore, MacRumors also believes that Apple is ready to opt out the feature. Aside from that, the company is also asking the MacBook Pro owners about the battery life, and other stuff concerning the product.

However, there is another leak that the 2016 MacBook Pro might contain four USB-C ports, including the headphone jack. But then again, it might not feature an SD card slot, HDMI port, USB-A port, or a MagSafe connection.

The latest report sparked curiosity among the tech-savvy individuals. Although Apple has not confirmed nor deny the news, there is still a big possibly about the matter.
