Jessica Biel has told InStyle that her fiancé Justin Timberlake picked out her engagement ring himself.
The big, square-cut diamond has got a lot of admiring media play, but Biel says she can't take the credit for it.
The actress, 30, who got engaged to Timberlake, 31, in December, says that she had "no say" in the ring, and Timberlake chose it himself. "He is fearless in his choices and has a real eye for design," she says. "And I'll be honest: He has better taste than I do!"
That must be the reason why, as she tells the magazine, he also chooses many of her outfits. But, then, boybanders love to dress up - and Timberlake did found a fashion label (William Rast).
Biel and Timberlake have a shared (and kind of embarrassing) history as teenybopper heartthrobs. While she got her start as one of the corny Camdens on the WB family drama 7th Heaven, Timberlake followed a stint on the Mickey Mouse Club to become famous as one of the gyrating pubescents of 'N Sync.
Now Biel has two films coming out. The first is Total Recall, in which she appears with Bryan Cranston, Ethan Hawke, and a bunch of British actors (so you know it should be taken seriously); and the other is The Tall Man, in which she plays a nurse and mother desperate to get her child back (so you know she should be taken seriously - or at least casting directors think so). Timberlake, of course, has emerged as an entrepreneur, one of SNL's favorite hosts of recent years, and an actor with surprising range. His next film, The Trouble With the Curve, is a sports drama starring Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, and John Goodman. It should hit theaters in the fall. And to top off their success, they both actually seem pretty likable.
