Google's new Pixel Launcher application is now available for the customers to download. Here's everything we know so far about the latest product.

Several sources claimed that Google is preparing to unveil a new launcher for the upcoming Nexus 2016 phones- the Sailfish and the Marlin. However, the company reportedly confirmed that they will no longer carry the Nexus tags for the anticipated models. 

But instead, they are opting to produce their own line of smartphones. Aside from that, revealing the Pixel Launcher as early as today is another way to introduce it.

Twitter account LlabTooFeR enticed the followers by releasing the layout of the newest Google Launcher. They wrote that the app has a very clean and fluid user interface.

By looking at the photos, BGR noted that  the Pixel launcher appears to be similar to the Nexus Launcher that was described in previous reports. The Google Search bar is noticeable yet very discreet, and the launcher should also sport Google Assistant features as well.

On the other hand, there are also changes in the new application. According to the tech website, there is a new icon and a new version number while it might have an Android 7.1 Nougat on board. 

Apart from the Twitter account, Android Police was the first of the sources to get a hold of the Pixel Launcher. Google is yet to confirmed the data gathered, but those who would like to experience the Pixel Launcher may download a sample here.

If you want the Google Now launcher pane to work, you'll have to install the launcher APK to /system (mount the /system partition r/w and copy, or wait for a flashable zip). If you've already previously done this to the Nexus Launcher, then all you need to do now is install the Pixel Launcher APK as an update - no need to mess with /system again."
