Microsoft is about to unveil new products in the coming weeks, but does that include the Surface Pro 5?

Northern Voices Online reported that the all-new Surface Pro 5 would be out in September. But Microsoft has been mum about this and so far, we are only counting a few days before the month ends.

The Redmond-based company must be waiting for the new Intel Kaby Lake chipsets to come out first. Microsoft is speculated to rope in Intel's 7th generation of Kaby Lake processor for its new Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

On the other hand, Tech Times noted that Microsoft would release the hybrid tablet next month in order to compete with  Apple's MacBook Pro 2016.  On the other hand, there is also a rumor that the company might just release the product next year.

Apple is also expected to launch its MacBook Pro 2016 line-up sometime in the last quarter of 2016. They might unveil a MacBook Pro with a new OLED touchpad above its keyboard. 

This information is yet to be confirmed by the company. Meanwhile, here are the purported specs and features of the Surface Pro 5.

The new Surface Pro 5 might be introduced with a 4K display resolution that has 3840 X 2160 pixels. Notably, the predecessor, Surface Pro 4 features a 12.3-inch display which carries a resolution of 2736×1824 pixels.

The upcoming device could also have a fingerprint scanner on board which the previous model does not have. Instead, customers can separately purchase a Type Cover with a fingerprint sensor for the Surface Pro 4.

Furthermore, other speculated features include a rechargeable Surface Pen, USB Type-C port and microSD slot for memory expansion 

The details are yet to be determined by Microsoft as well. But given these speculations, it appears that the Surface Pro 5 will most likely be a hit among tech-savvy individuals.
