Zayn Malik To Release Autobiography So People Can 'Accurately' Judge Him

Zayn Malik has announced that he will release his own autobiography that is set to detail everything about his life, including his time in One Direction.

The 23-year-old singer will tell tales about his childhood in Bradford, England, his life as member of one of the biggest-selling boybands in the world, his departure and his career as a solo artist after shocking millions of fans when he left the group in the middle of their tour.

The book, aptly titled "Zayn," will be a part memoir mixed with illustrations, as well as photographs that have never been seen before. "For the first time ever, ZAYN is going to tell and show all in this intimate and raw scrapbook of his life," the description to the book reads, according to the New York Daily News. "Never-before-released photos give readers an insight to ZAYN, no-holds-barred."

The book will also include feature notes, song lyrics and personal stories from the former boybander. "I'm going to show you as much as I can so that you can judge me on my own terms, not on what the press or anyone else says," Malik writes in the introduction of his book, which is now available to pre-order at $19.99.

Malik first auditioned for "The X Factor UK" in 2010, but after being rejected as a solo artist, he was put together in a group alongside other rejected soloists - Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - to form One Direction. They reached the live shows under the tutelage of Simon Cowell, and went on to place third in the competition.

The group went on to be one of the show's most successful alumni, releasing their first studio album "Up All Night" in 2011. The group went on to release three more albums as a quintet before Malik left in the middle of their tour in support for their album entitled "Four," according to Rolling Stone.
