2017 Chevrolet Camaro: Everything You Need To Know About Chevy's Sexiest Muscle Car Yet

Out with the old and in with the new is Chevrolet's new motto as it launched its new versions of one of its most popular models to date: the 2017 Camaro V-6/SS and V-8/SS 1 LE. The freshly released versions may appear to be similar at one glance, but a true Camaro follower should easily be able to tell one apart from the other.

Twice the Camaro, Twice the Fun

The preceding type of Camaro SS boasted of its engine performance plus advanced braking and suspension features, building a name under the category of powerful road beasts. At present, Car and Driver shared that the new Camaro SS 1LE displays its matte-black vinyl design all over the hood and door parts. However, the Camaro SS and other SS version have decided to inherit its hood vent, fuel pump and fuel tank to the newbie in the Chevy family.

Aside from the sexy matte surprise, the black-plastic splitter found in its front is an eye catcher. Each of the SS 1LE models sports this splitter and each is designed specifically for the new models respectively. As if the area in the front splitter brings isn't enough, the SS 1 LE snags the rear-lip look of the V-6.

Of course, a Camaro would not be sexy without a 20-inch forged aluminium set of tires. Its Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric summer tires measure 245/40 in front and 275/35 at the back. The four tires are covered with an even wider set of rubbers measuring 285/30 front and 305/20 in the rear; that's 10 and 11 inches wide of protection. In this area, everything down under the V-8 is an even better version of the nice sets found in the V-6.

2017 Chevrolet Camaro: What's Under the Hood?

In addition to everything, the SS 1 LE comes with a dual-mode exhaust, engine-oil cooler, extra-engine coolant capacity, front brakes like the Cadillac ATS-V, rear breaks like the standard Camaro SS fare, an upgraded V-6 1LE suspension, and a rear-differential cooler. Not to mention, a microsuede steering wheel and shift knobs which offer a better grip and more sophisticated appeal. To top it all off, the new version cloned the FE4 suspension of Camaro ZL1. Say hello to Magnetic Ride Control Adaptive Dampers and Unique Springs.

Just recently, according to Nseavoice, the Camaro has been losing its market to the Ford Mustang even more after being launched to the UK without being reconfigured for UK's RHD road system.
