The 2017 Nissan Sentra SR Turbo made its official debut during the 44th Annual Miami International Auto Show on Sunday.
Those who are eager to get their hands on the wheels of this new model can expect it to become available in the market in a few weeks' time. The new turbo was showcased at the auto show alongside another Nissan model - the 2017 Rogue Compact SUV.
Nissan has teased that the Sentra SR Turbo will help make the owner's driving experience a little bit more fun. The said vehicle reportedly has great features that will make an excellent selection for car enthusiasts looking for a car that's comfortable and has high performance, according to IU4 News.
One of the Sentra SR Turbo's notable new feature is the 188 horsepower 1.6 liter Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) turbo engine powered by the Nissan Juke hatchback's 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4, one of Nissan's more advanced engines. As a result, it sets aside the standard Sentra SR's horsepower of 124 and the naturally enunciated inline-4.
The installation of the DIG results in an increase of 50 percent in power in comparison to the usual SR, which only obtains a 132 PS, 174 Nm with its 1.8-liter naturally aspirated mill. Nissan's Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT), as well as a new 6-speed manual are just some of the vehicle's available transmission options, according to Motor Authority.
In terms of its exterior, the Sentra SR Turbo still possesses the same features as that of the 2016 update. However, the new version has several upgrades namely the SR Turbo badging, trunk spoiler, the 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in 205/50/R17 tires, chrome exhaust pipe and the projector headlights with LED daytime running lights (DRLs).
Other features to take note of are the power sliding glass roof, sporty cloth seats and interior trim, 5-inch Advanced Drive-Assist Display (ADAD) and Siri Eyes Free recognition, according to Auto Industriya.
