The latest unit of iPhone (iPhone7) from Apple is expected to launch in the next few days, and major changes are expected from the said unit. It's been rumoured that one of the major changes is the headphone jack, being not a part of the latest model.
Apple Cofounder Steve Wozniak himself said that sacking the headphone jack may frustrate lots of customers. He also said that he would prefer the cable earbuds.
True indeed, the rumors already circulated online and some users and customers are expressing their frustration about the cable earbuds getting ditched out from the new iPhone.
Taking out the jack would mean either that iPhone users will need a connector to the lightning port, the port which is used for charging the phone to connect the cable earbuds, or this will be the way of Apple in launching their Bluetooth earbuds based on a very low-powered radio chip developed exclusively by Apple.
But with the two options that are said, rumors are also circulating that the lightning port will also bid goodbye and will be replaced with a magnetic version. Wozniak also pointed out that audio through the Bluetooth earbuds comes out flat.
Apparently, the cable headphones are performing well and if it doesn't get a good replacement, it will sure create an issue.
Wozniak said in an interview with Financial Review:
"If there's a Bluetooth 2 that has higher bandwidth and better quality, that sounds like real music, I would use it. But we'll see. Apple is good at moving towards the future, and I like to follow that."
He also having second thoughts of Apple having a magnetic port, he said that using the USB Type-C port is the future.
"One of my favourite Android phones, the Nexus 5X, uses that connector. It gives it a higher level in my own thinking"
Steve Wozniak co-founded Apple together with Steve Jobs on 1970's and left in 1985. Though not officially connected with Apple, he still gives them his views in one way or another and by that it means by the media sometimes.
Come what may, we are still hoping and waiting for the best, Apple.
