Nissan celebrated its 50th anniversary in Chile at the National Museum of Fine Arts, hosting opinion leaders from multiple sectors of society.
The celebration featured an audio-visual presentation focusing on innovation of Nissan brand. All-new Nissan Altima was also previewed at the event, which was the first time in Latin America. Nissan announced the company’s commitment to the Chilean market and invest in best products and services.
“Chile is the most important South American market for Nissan in terms of sales volume. We admire Chile because it is an open country, which encourages a free competition among the world´s best brands,” said Jose Muñoz, senior vice president, Nissan LATAM M&S, Dealer Network Development and Customer Quality for the Americas.
“We are committed to Chile and plan to consolidate our position as the leading automotive brand in the country, as well as to replicate this success in neighboring countries,” Muñoz added.
Nissan’s presence in Chilean market increased over the past three years with models such as Qashaqai, X-Trail, Juke, March, and Versa. Ken Ramirez, vice president of Nissan Latin America and the Caribbean, remarked that the brand is now number two in the country with over 12 percent market share.
The company has also announced a donation to the National Museum of Fine Arts for the restoration of Japanese engravings and drawings.
