Bindi Irwin Pays Touching Tribute to Dad Steve on His 10th Death Anniversary

Bindi Irwin has paid a touching tribute to her late father, crocodile hunter Steve Irwin, ahead of the 10th anniversary of his death.

The Australian actress and "Dancing with the Stars" alum took to social media to post a sweet tribute to her late father on Saturday. "You'll be my hero for my entire existence. I love you more than words can describe," Bindi tweeted to her 253,000 followers. She also posted the photo on her Instagram page with the same caption.

The sweet post was accompanied by a photo of herself when she was a baby, and her father holding her with the use of his right arm, according to Entertainment Tonight Online. Her mother Terri also posted a photo tribute to Steve on Saturday, which was also Father's Day in Australia. On her 18th birthday on July 24, Bindi also posted another throwback photo of herself as an infant, along with her parents with the caption, "Today marks 18 years of life for me, here in Australia and I really don't know where to begin in thanking so many people for an unforgettable journey so far. So I think that I'll start here, with this photograph."

Steve tragically lost his life in 2006 at the age of 44 when a stingray stabbed him multiple times while he was out filming a documentary about the world's deadliest sea animals. Bindi was only eight-years-old at the time of the accident while her younger brother Robert Clarence was only two, according to Ace Showbiz.

Steve's parents Bob and Lyn shared a letter that he wrote to his parents on Friday. He was 32-years-old when he wrote the letter, which is 12 years before his untimely demise. The letter, which will be published in a memoir written by Bob called "The Last Crocodile Hunter: A Father and Son Legacy," was discovered hidden in a book earlier this year.

In the letter, Steve wrote, "At 32, I am finally starting to figure it out. In good times and in bad, you were there. Your strength and endurance to raise me will not go unrewarded."
