Samsung Galaxy S3 Verizon Release Date: July 10 Confirmed

Finally a good news for Samsung Galaxy S3 fans on Verizon.

Verizon Wireless has confirmed today that the Android-equipped Galaxy S3 will be available on July 10. The highly anticipated smartphone was launched in the U.S. market as early as June 21 in other wireless carriers, but many had to delay the release date due to the shortage of supplies. Verizon had not made any official statement until today.

"Verizon Wireless and Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile) today announced that the 4G LTE-powered Samsung Galaxy S® III will be available in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online at www.verizonwireless.com/galaxys3 starting July 10," wrote Verizon on a statement.

The statement added that the 16GB model will be available both in stores and online starting July 10, but the 32GB will be available only online on that date. Verizon said the higher capacity model will be in stores in "coming weeks".

Samsung Galaxy S3 was launched at the end of May in Europe and brought instant sensation, breaking sales records set by Apple. When the Korean IT giant announced its U.S. launch, it brought excitement to Android fans, hoping it could be the iPhone killer. Although many fans were disappointed at the delay, they were hopeful to hear Verizon's new announcement.

The Galaxy S3 features an amazing 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display, making it one of the biggest smartphones available in the market. It comes with 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 2 GB RAM, topped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9-megapixel front camera are enhanced, with zero-lag shutter speed and capable of capturing HD video. The device comes in two colors, Marvel White or Pebble Blue, and available in two capacities, 16GB and 32GB. The device will have the same design and brand across all five major U.S. carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular.

And keep your fingers crossed that Verizon will not delay the launch date.

Meanwhile, Verizon websites has a photo of Galaxy S3 with a caption "Will ship by 7/11"
