There are two car models who were given a high rating by the Euro NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme). These are the Subaru Levorg and the Renault Scenic MPV.

First, the all-new Renault model got a whopping score of 82% score in child occupant protection and a 90% score in the adult occupant category. According to Auto Express UK, the French brand has been consistent in making high-quality safety vehicles.

On the other hand, the NCAP test gave the Subaru model a full five-star rating with a 92% adult occupant score and an 83% child occupant score. But there are low points.

Scenic and the Levorg fell down in the 'safety assist' category, with a score 59% and 68%, respectively. But don't worry because these did not affect their overall score.

Notably, the Renault Scenic MPV is relatively new as compared to the Subaru Levorg. The latter has been established about a year ago.

The NCAP test helped the Levorg to gain credibility with regards to its security. The website stated that the model started at the bottom of the sales charts.

While these two companies may be celebrating right now, the other models who got tested for the NCAP might be contemplating on their score.

The new Kia Niro and the Toyota Hilux only received four and three stars, although they passed the safety assist category. The website explained that the reason for the average score is due to a large amount of safety equipment being relegated to the options list on these cars. 

"The Niro, for example, gets speed assistance and lane assistance as standard, but autonomous braking is relegated to the options list. The Hilux receives none of these items as standard, and has them all as part of an optional 'safety pack'," or so they wrote.
