Tesla Model S 60D Achieves New Record Breaking Speeds

In a video posted by Drag Times a week ago, it showed the Tesla Model S 60D breaking speed records, with its Ludicrous Mode, allowing the car to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a mere 2.65 seconds. With this being done at just 19", it gives them the possibility that cars with wheels of 21" could go much faster.

This record speed was a few milliseconds faster than the benchmark time positioned by Drag Times, which was initially 2.80s. For other information about Tesla and its vehicles, especially the P90D, there is a Forum for the Tesla Motors club where this video has become one of the most talked about.

A lot of user's comments deal with the technical aspect of the vehicle, but a lot of users are surprised that the 100 kWh battery has been installed on the model prior to anyone's knowledge. The car manufacturer has set a trailblazer, having installed batteries with a larger storage capacity, but setting limitations on power capacity and software.

One example for this would be the S60. Despite having ha 75 kWh battery, the software installed is capable of operating at 60 kWh. Despite no official details with regards to the sales, it is believed that orders have been pouring in for the new Tesla S 60.

The P90DL's improved performance over other models is attributed to its battery with a kWh rating of 100, with software restrictions of just 90 kWh. This kind of explains why the speed of this car is much greater.

One of the benefits of having a battery which is constructed by the software, limit-wise, is that it thinks that it is a much bigger battery when we talk about the times it charges. This means that charging at an 80% battery level is much faster to achieve with a battery, limited by its software.

This is a major advantage car owners have in this fast-paced world.
