Some people wish to avoid having to hire a middleman to be able to buy the car of their dreams. In instances like this, one could go auto shopping online using a smartphone.
According to a study by Roster, which is a company known for buying and leasing car services online, this is apparently becoming more popular. This was justified by a survey conducted among more than 1,000 customers, 33% of which, expressed their willingness in purchasing a car through their smartphones, just like they would with other items.
According to the study, this growing preference is believed to come from the negativity which comes from bargaining for prices personally, and that it is a commonly-held belief that online purchases are always cheaper than other means of buying, as this is often the case when purchasing other items through the world wide web.
Close to half of the respondents also said that they would be able to save thousands of dollars by purchasing online, and be able to save time as well, as the traditional purchasing of vehicles would require hours upon hours of negotiations, travelling, and repeated trips and visits to shops, rather than just doing the transaction while doing other things, or at the comfort of your own homes.
Given that you can't test drive cars online, the majority of the respondents still said that they would not want to buy a car without being able to do so. This is believed to signify that clients are open to the idea of shopping online, no matter how big or small the particular product is.
A lot of e-commerce technology has been successfully integrated when it comes to car shopping already, and because of this, making large-scale transactions like that of cars has been made much easier.
