For a regular student who hailed from Copenhagen, Soren Petersen found the one car that inspired his career in car design and mechanical engineering - the Lamborghini Countach LP400S. Despite the fact that the car was highly debated for its design being one of the least practical ever built, it shaped the future of a good performing professional in the car industry.

Petersen was once a regular student at Schneekloth Stats Gymnasium, considered as a highly-competitive educational institution in Copenhagen where he studied civil engineering, as he described in Huffington Post.

Throughout his journey, Petersen had failing subjects, performed inferiorly in class, and was even advised to drop out of school due to his lackluster achievements in the field. However, Petersen had been a fan of automobiles throughout his life and sought meaning and inspiration from a motor magazine that covered the Lamborghini Countach. The magazine spoke about a group of friends' journey around the world wherein they tested car model heavyweights Corvette and a black Lamborghini Countach LP400S, the latter being considered that time as the Guinness World Book of Records as the fastest car in the world.

At present, the Lamborghini Countach LP400S is labeled by the company as a car with "4-liter V12 engine mounted lengthwise, produced 375 CV, had a maximum speed of 309 km/h, accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, and was a stunning sight."

The journey of the friends cost them an entire fortune that by the time they were done with the road trip, they went home broke. Despite the financial burden, those individuals gained an irrevocable experience that only a few people got to live through.

After Petersen was able to read through the article, he was inspired to create an innovative automobile in the future and thus, escalated his passion in the study of engineering. He began performing well in school. Eventually, he got accepted at the Technical University of Denmark and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer. Furthermore, he also attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and became a car designer. He then worked for BMW Group as both an engineer and car designer.

The Lamborghini Countach LP400S may have been deemed as one of the most unrealistic designs ever made by the company, it still landed in the Guinness World Book of Records as the fastest car then and, eventually, shaped the profession of car enthusiasts of today such as Soren Petersen.
