Thailand kicked off its first automotive performance to much fanfare thanks to the presence of 30 award-winning custom cars imported from Japan, along with, a display of premium and super cars.
he Bangkok International Auto Salon 2012 was organised by Siam Sport Syndicate Plc, a sport media enterprise, along with its subsidiary Inspire Entertainment, publisher of men and women's magazines. The event was officially licensed by Tokyo Auto Salon, which is an annual exhibition in Japan, as well as, the largest auto exhibition in the world. The event will run to July 1.
"We're confident that this unique event in Thailand will be successful like its 27 year counterpart in Japan," said Satoshi Suzuki, the Executive Director of San-Ei Shobo Publishing, which has organised the Tokyo Auto Salon. "Car enthusiasts in Thailand and manufacturers cannot miss the 11 days it runs, and we believe it will become the biggest auto show in Asean."
"The Bangkok International Auto Salon showcases state-of-the art automotive technology in performance and dress up parts and promotes parts exports," said Wiluck Lohtong, inspire Entertainment's Chief Executive. "More than 30 award winning modified custome cars hand-picked from this past January's Tokyo Auto Salon are on display to whet the appetite of car enthusiasts and other visitors."
