Apple vs Samsung: Which Electric Car Is Better?

Apple is on its way to jumping into marketing automobiles. There have been previous reports that the Cupertino-based company is working underground on what they call "Project Titan." On the other hand, Samsung is contemplating on the idea as well. Will there be another Apple vs Samsung competition in the car industry world?

Samsung Electronics Co. Vice Chairman Lee Jae Yong is considering to venture into making automobiles. According to Bloomberg, the South Koren tech titan in negotiation to buy assets of auto-parts maker Magneti Marelli from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV.

While the details about the upcoming project are still far-fetched, IBK Securities' analyst Lee Seung Woo believes that Samsung will be an aggressive competitor and there might be another round for Apple vs Samsung headlines.

"Samsung has little presence in auto-parts, but this acquisition will fast secure them business competence even as a latecomer. Samsung is thinking that it should change its acquisition style. It can't really start everything from the scratch."

Aside from smartphones, Samsung has a wide range of products as well such as appliances, to name one. Should the development of an electric car model be true, this could mark their start of carving their name into the automobile industry.

Apple is known for creating widely innovative and interactive iPhones, iPads, iMacs and MacBooks variants. On the other hand, Samsung also levels the U.S. company by producing Galaxy phones, phablets, and hybrid tablets.

Notably, Wall Street Journal previously reported that Apple is already testing the patent. The company's aim is to challenge Tesla. However, if Samsung will turn to the industry, the former might target the smartphone company as well.
