Samsung's latest Galaxy Note 7 phablet will come with an advanced iris scanner that can analyze a user's eyes to access the device. It is the first mobile device of its kind to feature this technology. The iris scanner works by infrared, analyzing a user's unique iris before allowing access. Apart from an iris scanner, the Galaxy Note 7 also comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded under the home button. The Note 7's biometrics options utilize the Knox security platform.

As the pioneering brand in the phablet segment, Samsung's latest slate boasts of sleek, high-end design and premium features that Galaxy fans know and love.

With the technology, the Galaxy Note can be locked and unlocked using the iris scanner. The fingerprint sensor is perfect for glasses-wearers who find the iris scanner cumbersome to use.

Apart from the biometric options, Samsung's newest phablet also comes with an IP68 rating that makes the device water resistant up to depths of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note's 5.7in quad HD screen, USB-C, and integrated S-pen stylus will work even if the screen is wet.

The Galaxy Note also features a high-res Super AMOLED display, expandable memory, and a 12-megapixe3l back camera. It also comes with 4GB RAM, Octa-core processor 64-bit processor, Gorilla Glass 5 display, 3,500mAh non-removable battery, water-resistant S-pen, as well as wired and wireless fast charging. 

Samsung also confirmed that the Note 7 offers 4K recording capabilities. Samsung also customized the Note 7's Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow software to include a variety of stylus-related features and turn videos into gifs.

Fans will have to wait just a little longer to get their hands on Samsung's feature-rich phablet. The Galaxy Note will roll out on September 2, 2016, with price starting at $850 in the US and £749 in the UK.
