Dodge Ram Tops The List Of Most Dangerous Cars In U.S.

24/7 Wall St. rated the Dodge Ram as the 'most dangerous car,'  taking into account scores from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, details gathered from Consumer Reports ratings and information from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on crash safety results and further details from J.D. Power's Initial Quality Study.

The financial publication notes that the highly sold pickup truck in the U.S. indeed has a safety track record which 'has long been unimpressive.' It further adds that the models performed poorly in crash test results and also scored a rating of 2/5 in J.D. Power 's Initial Quality Study.

"The poor ratings of these models do not appear to have affected their sales. In fact, sales of all models are up from last year. In all but one case, according to data provided by Edmunds.com, sales grew at least 19 percent last year. And while most of these models' sales are still below 2007 levels, sales for the Jeep Wrangler not only increased the most but also jumped 50 percent since then," reports 24/7 Wall St.

The list of dangerous cars puts Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab in the second position and Mazda in a third place and CX-7 was placed in fourth position. Not a single European automaker manufactured a vehicle that was rated among the seven worst-scoring models.

Here's a list of Most Dangerous Cars in U.S.:

2.      Chevrolet Colorado Super Cab

3.      Mazda CX-7

4.      Mazda CX-9
