Pokemon GO players are furious at Niantic for tracking down third party applications which helped them to catch 'em all. The game developer did a massive update on Friday and that might include banning these apps as well.

Niantic must have done the update overnight for the better, but on the contrary, it looks like the company also blocked some features which are essential in finding a Pokemon.

Previously, Pokemon GO has a "Nearby" options, wherein gamers can see how close they are in catching the creatures. The free-to-play game will show a footprint once the player is just two steps closer from the catch.

But then, it seems that the Niantic removed the feature after a few weeks since its launch. As a result, some game developers at the Pokemon Reddit community created a third party application, such as Pokevision, which carries the same system.

However, the latest update for Pokemon GO abolished almost the entire third party apps. Aside from Pokevision, Pokehound.com is also missing in action.

The former posted a message on Twitter, hinting that they got a "cease-and-desist" letter. Pokevision isn't sure either when they will be able to return, thus, creating a furious among Pokemon GO fans.

Not just furious, but some of the Pokemon GO community on Reddit have been asking for a refund to Apple Store and Google Play. CNET reported that Apple has been honoring the requests while Google Store are asking the players to contact Niantic directly. 

Meanwhile, Niantic, Nintendo, and The Pokemon Company are yet to address the concern. But this action may lead to the downfall of the augmented reality game.

Niantic launched Pokemon GO in Japan, Australia, and New Zealand nearly a month go. The game has become a global trend ever since which is widely played by kids and kids at heart.
