Porsche AG has already announced the arrival of the 2017 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition trio, marking the German auto maker's stance in the era of supercars and connected technologies. The newest Porsche Cayenne lineup is expected to hit the Australian market by August this year.
CarAdvice AU got a hold of the 2017 Porsche Cayenne's specs and pricing, which would likely appeal to Australian buyers. Customers can check out the trio of platinum edition Porsche Cayenne's in diesel, S E-hybrid, and V6 petrol-powered engines.
With added advanced features for the new line, Porsche said that it totalled to up 12K in value-added services (VAS). A markup of between $1000 to $1300 is expected for the diesel and petrol versions of the new Porsche Cayenne. While the S E-hybrid is priced at $136,700, it is remarkably a reduced price compared to the MY2017 Cayenne S E-hybrid. That sums up to a $6400 reduction for the newer hybrid, which translates into about 18K in VAS for the Platinum edition, as per the news agency.
The 2017 Porsche Cayenne Platinum edition models come upgraded with flared wheels, a glossy black exterior updo, adjustable sports seating with Alcantara and leather trim plus Porsche logos on its head rests. The 20-inch wheels also resemble that of the Spyder's, and steel treadplates with "Platinum Edition" on it.
Other features include anti-glare mirrors, adaptive cruise control, tinted windows, and assisted parking service, reports Motor Authority AU. Keeping up with the 2017 Cayennes, Porsche's Platinum Edition models are also equipped with state-of-the-art infotainment system as well as an enhanced navigational system, 7-inch touchscreen menu and voice-activated feature.
Apart from the brand's standard metallic black and white finish, customers can also choose other hues, from Purpurite, Carrera White, Mahogany, Rhodium Silver, and Deep Black. The models' wider wheel arches would follow the selected color scheme, according to Porsche AG.
