The arrival of the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu offers a completely different insight to customers who previously owned its predecessors. The fabled family sedan has been given a complete overhaul by General Motors; and now comes with an app that can help steer teen drivers away from causing harm to others and themselves.
With its added tech and safety features, the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu now ranks fifth among the best mid-size modern sedans in terms of fuel mileage in the U.S., as well as recognition for placing first in side and frontal crash testing exercises by the government, New Jersey Herald reports . Although, the sedan's starting price is at $22,500 for a five-seater, it already comes equipped with a 6-speed auto transmission and fuel efficient engine.
Aside from the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu's standard features, GM's newest addition has Teen Driver system installed, which lets parents track their teenagers' daily approach to driving with the said car. It keeps a record of speeds, driven mileage, and whether safety equipment was used during each drive. The 2016 Malibu also has an optional forward collision warning system, however, it would already be an added expense.
In a related report by the Canadian Press, test drive reviews on the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu were positive at the most, with responsive steering comfortable enough for an easy drive. The new model is also longer than the previous models, and the back ends resembles that of an Audi, according to some customers.
Modern styling gives the Malibu's interior bigger space. An increase of 1.3 inches gives the car's rear-seat legroom a little over 38 inches. The new 2016 Chevrolet Malibu also offers an additional turbo 4-cylinder engine, which generates 250 hp similar to a V6-engine, aside from its standard 1.5 liter turbo 4-cylinder that gives 163 hp, as per the news agency.
