Steven Tyler Of Aerosmith Buys The World’s Fastest Street-legal Car

Lead singer of Aerosmith and judge for American Idol, Steven Tyler, is now the official owner of one the world's fastest street-legal car, the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder.

Tyler has reportedly always spoke of wanting to buy the world's fastest car, which cost the rock legend $1.1 million. Tyer can reach speeds of 275 mphh on the streets legally certified speed. Former Idol judge Simon Cowell shares the same passion for driving sports cars on the streets and is an avid car collector.

The Hennessey Venom GT Spyder is one among the last five models ever built and of the five, only one model has a convertible option. The car can accelerate to 200 mph in 15.9 seconds and going by the Tyler's interests, it would take some more time for the American Idol judge to suit to the new environments.

"We had to make a few structural changes to our integrate rollcage in order to be able to fit the removable top," A spokesperson for the car told reporters. "This increased the weight of our vehicle by about 30 pounds with a curb weight of 2,743 pounds (1244 kilograms). We decided to increase the Venom GT's power to 1244 bhp to maintain our one horsepower per 1 kilogram power to weight ratio."

Tyler won't have much time to test his new ride out, Aerosmith kicking off its North American "Global Warming Tour" on June 16th with its first show in Minnepolis, MN.
