Porsche may be extending to the office equipment business. The carmaker recently came up with a new office chair that resembles the original Porsche 911 seat.

The seat, dubbed the Porsche Office Chair RS, was modeled after the original car seat of the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS or Porsche Carrera 911 GT3, featuring the same leather and alcantara as the one found in the actual German car.

SpeedLux reported that The chair’s height can be adjusted and there is a functional backrest that works via electricity and a rechargeable battery. The chair is predominantly dark grey, with a silver rear. The base is supported by five extending casters, each with a rolling wheel for stability and great traction. There are armrests on both sides and a jacket hook at the back.

The office chair also includes an exclusive black embossed Porsche crest sewn into the headrest. Customers also have the option of choosing from an array of trim levels. There may be more colors available in the near future.

In the promo video, a silver Porsche 911 was cruising on the highway. An image of the office chair followed, stating that it was the same as the original seat found in the car, and also made in Germany. The video highlighted how the seat can be adjusted to suit the height of the user. The next image showcased the original leather and alcantara used in making the seat. Special attention was given to the red stitching on the trims. The backrest was shown adjusting to various angles, followed by the 3D-adjustable armrests.

According to Slash Gear, the back shell of the office chair is made of silver composite material. The chair weighs 77 pounds. Despite its weight, the five rollers should be more than enough to keep it stable and easy to move anywhere in the workplace. The maximum weight capacity of the seat remains uncertain, but it should be solid enough to support most individuals.

CarBuzz reveals that the Porsche Office Chair RS features a base model, priced at $5,690, and there is an alcantara version that costs $6,570. Although the Porsche Office Chair is significantly more expensive than most high-end office seats, it is the ideal equipment for car enthusiasts. They get the feeling and comfort of staying inside their beloved sports car even while at work.
