Safety is the utmost priority for vehicles in all car brands and in light of safety measures, Ford just announced that they are recalling three of its models. The announcement include the Ford Transit vehicles, 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC, and 2016 Ford Explorer vehicles.

Truck Trend reports that the recalls are in light of the recently reported problems with Ford's block heaters which causes underhood fires. The publication further revealed that the models will be mostly coming from Canada.

Apparently, all 2015 and 2016 Ford Explorer and Lincoln MKC SUVs will be recalled for inspection and the free installation of a new block heater to further improve the units and therefore avoid having underhood fires.

The news agency reveals further that a total of 3,129 Lincoln MKCs and 2,407 Ford Explorers will be recalled including a total of 37,000 low-roof 2015 and 2016 Transit vans. The Transit vans which are mostly located within the U.S. apparently have their airbags positioned incorrectly on one or both sides of the vehicle.

Although the news outlet shares that there are no reported incident of injuries because of the incorrect positions of the airbags, the units are however being recalled anyway. And to add to the already numbered recalls from a single car company, Ford will also be recalling their F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks, all 4,800 of them for the purpose of inspecting and repairing parking brake cable connector clips.

Furthermore, Carscoops reports that the parking brake cable connector clips which were allegedly improperly manufactured will have the possibility to break and have unintended movement. When this happens, a high risk of being injured and causing damage to its surroundings can happen.

Meanwhile, as the story opens at press time, Ford has yet to reveal specific details and the most recent developments in its announcement to recall its units.
