Evenflo has announced that it has recalled more than 50,000 children car seats in order to fix an issue with their harnesses.

The problem is that children may be able to reach the central front adjuster button and loosen the internal harness on their own, which can increase the chance of an injury, according to Fox 8. The Miamisburg, Ohio-based company has yet to receive any reports of injuries related to this issue.

Seats covered in the recall include Transitions 3-in-1 car seats made between Dec. 18, 2014 and Jan. 29, 2016 and with model number 34411686, 34411695 and 34411029.

Evenflo noted in government documents that the seats only experience this problem when they are used as forward-facing harnessed boosters, the Associated Press reported.

The company will contact owners and plans on solving the issue with a remedy kit that comes with a replacement bottom seat pad, CFA assembly and installation instructions, Fox 8 noted. Evenflo claims that this kit will "virtually eliminate a child's access and activation of the CFA."
