A Russian mechanic has designed a "mini monster truck" aimed at helping workers deal with the harshest environments.

The all-terrain vehicle, called the Sherp ATV, can plow through ice, water, snow and other extreme elements thanks to its low-pressure self-inflating tires, according to Press TV. It also comes with paddle-like treads that propel the machine over water and other obstacles as tall as 27.5 inches.

Alexei Garagashyan, the St. Petersburg-based mechanic behind the ATV, designed the 11-foot-long tires to function like tank treads when on land, locking up or slowing up one side to turn, the Daily Mail reported.

Features include a water heater, analog devices and display, halogen headlights and a device that instantly drains water from the vehicle's body when it is submerged in water. The ATV seats two people and provides levers for steering and accelerating and slowing the vehicle down.

The 2,866-pound vehicle is powered by a 15.3-gallon 44 horsepower engine made by Japan-based Kubota, and it has a top speed of 27.9 mph on land and less than 4 mph on water, Yahoo! Auto noted.

The Sherp's creators are marketing it as a work vehicle that can transport people and their tools through extreme environments to mountains, power lines and swamps. ATV is available in two versions- the $65,000 base model, which comes with a tent-like roof and no wipers or heater, and the $70,000 "Kung," which comes with a hardtop.
