World’s Most Expensive Parking Spot In New York

According to the New York Post, an undercover space in Manhattan is slated to be the world's most expensive part spot.

The space, which is slated to go auction at the price of $1 million, is located at 66 East 11th street in Greenwich Village and measures only 3.6 meters wide. The extra rooms in the empty space mean it will allow only for two cars and there's a facility and elevator too.

Dolly Lenz, official spokesperson for the estate agent for Prudential Douglas Elliman, says that the parking space was highly desirable for the wealthiest person in the New York.

She also told The Post that the space has been demanded for many years from some of the wealthiest personalities in New York and anyone who can afford it, can purchase the space. She said only the most expensive car owners can park their favorite cars inside in the empty parking space.

"It is for someone who wants a complete privacy," Lenz told The Post. "You can drive in and not be seen again. It's for the person that finds that attractive."

The luxury parking spot sits underneath a luxury apartment.  The car park has been bought for $120 million in 2011. Said to be the world's most expensive parking space, the apartment comes with hefty amount of maintenance fees and has its own sales contract.
