General Motors Prepares Fresh Ideas For Europe

The world class automaker and second highest car producer in the world is concerned with the overcapacity of the car industry in Europe as more number of car producers are pouring in with their latest ventures.

Steve Girsky, Vice Chairman of the General Motors, indicated that the Europe division needs complete new efforts to sustain the flooding of new models into the car market.

While addressing issues concerned with the European market, the Steve Girsky said to Die Ziet that the General Motors will come up with fresh ideas to revive its losing auto market and able to fight with the flooding of new vehicles by other car makers. Girsky also said that the General Motors doesn't have any intentions of closing down any plants in Europe due to overcapacity of auto market nor due to difficult time for the economy.

Showing optimism of keeping certain brands in the European market without closing them down, Vice Chairman Steve Girsky spoke on the turnaround plans of the car maker and a new strategy to revive the losing grounds. He also said that the General Motors will keep its Opel and Vauxhall models in the market and will assess the market and then will take a decision on whether stop supplying them or continue distributing them.

"The General Motors will stop thinking on over optimistic plans for European market and will think more on the actual grounds. It will plan out and prepare a strategy for unreachable market shares," Grisky said.

As per the sources inside the General Motors, the vice chairman has plans to change the corporate culture in Opel.
