A team of engineers in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, have created a prototype for a motorbike that will be sure to attract fans of classic James Bond films, as it can transform into a jet ski, and it can do it in only five seconds.

The scooter, called the Biski comes with a chassis that floats, two wheels that retract when you drive it into the water, and lights that work for traveling on both roads and water, according to the Daily Mail. The vehicle, which weighs 500 pounds, can reach speeds of up to 37 miles per hour thanks to its two water jets.

Gibbs Sports Amphibians, the organization behind the Biski, posted a video of the vehicle being driven on a winding country road before it enters a river and shoots off at high speed within seconds.

Gibbs says the motorbike can reach up to 87 mph on the road and is very stable on the water, The Independent reported.

"The Biski is truly unique as a single seat (or single plus pillion), twin jet, HAS Motorcycle, it is a world's first in many ways," the company said on its website. "It represents true freedom for the individual - serious fun."

Gibbs has been working on a series of amphibian vehicles that currently includes a car, a quadbike and a truck, with the Biski being the latest addition, the Daily Mail noted. These vehicles are each powered by a single engine that allows them to work on water and on land, and their wheels can be lifted off the water thanks to a patented suspension system.

"Without the drag of the wheels the amphibians can reach higher water speeds as a planing vessel," the company said. "The retraction process takes just five seconds at the touch of a single switch, allowing a seamless and simplistic transition between land and water modes."

Gibbs is currently looking for a manufacturer to sell its intellectual property rights to so it can start building its amphibian vehicles and sell them to people looking to ride on the water like 007.
