Nissan Motors latest brand luxury sedan Infiniti established its global headquarters in Hong Kong keeping with the goal of increasing sales across China's booming auto market.
With the global competitors falling in line to establish market capture in the vast auto market of China, Nissan Motors decided to strike first and establish its headquarters for Infiniti in China.
Competing against the Singapore and its high potential market for all kinds of versions of cars manufactured by global car makers, Hong Kong is all set with its own rules to allow global car makers to make their impression across China.
According to Carlos Ghosn, the Chief Executive Officer of Nissan Motors, the company is optimistic that establishing the headquarters in the southern city of Hong Kong will yield good results in terms of sales and widespread popularity of the infinite luxury brand.
"We are hopeful and confident that Nissan's proud sedan version Infiniti will make its hardest impact all across China within this fiscal year," he said in an official release. "We are hopeful that the sales figure of the Infiniti brand, which was received well in the recently concluded the Beijing International Auto Expo, will make its good impact. And we are also fingers crossed that the Infiniti will improvize its sales from 10 percent to 12 percent."
Nissan Motors successfully managed to sell 10,000 Infiniti models in China, the world's largest market for cars, last year.
