Tesla Puts On Holiday Light Show For Model X (VIDEO)

Tesla has given future Model X owners another reason to show off the electric SUV once they get them in the form of a spectacular holiday light show on Christmas Day.

The full-size crossover showed off its flashing lights and opening doors, which customers are expected to display by this time next year, according to Engadget. Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted that his company will ship all Model Xs with the light-show Easter Egg.

"Model Xmas show! This is being done by the car itself (no special mods) & will be onboard as an Easter Egg," he wrote.

Deliveries of the Model X began in September, though Tesla only handed out a dozen of them at the time, Autoblog noted. The units in this batch will cost $132,000 each, while the rest will be priced at about $80,000.

The Model X, which is the most anticipated SUV of 2015 and is scheduled to be made available in the second half of 2016, will treat drivers with a top speed of 155 mph and can go 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds for the P90D Performance Model, which will also feature the "Ludicrous Speed Upgrade," BGR reported.
