Acura will make its return to the Super Bowl with the debut of its next-generation NSX supercar.

The commercial will be shown during the first quarter of Super Bowl 50 and will mark the first time in four years that the Honda brand showed off one of its vehicles during the event, according to Automotive News. Acura released its first Super Bowl commercial in 2012, which was for an NSX and starred Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno.

While few details about the upcoming vehicle have been revealed, Acura said that it will focus on the brand's North American roots and emphasize precision-crafted performance in the company's future projects, Adweek reported.

However, Seinfeld will show up this time, according to a Mullen Lowe representative.

"As the Acura brand continues to gain momentum and the next-generation NSX supercar is about to make its market debut as the pinnacle expression of Acura performance and prestige, the Super Bowl is the perfect place for Acura to make a powerful brand statement to one of the largest viewing audiences in American history, and one that is incredibly attentive to advertising," Jon Ikeda, vice president and general manager of Acura, said in a statement.

Acura won't be the only automaker looking to show off new cars at Super Bowl 50, with others including Hyundai and Kia.
