Honda Motors announced it's recalling 52,000 Acura TL sedans in the U.S. in order to fix a technical snag with power steering hose on Thursday.

The Japanese automaker said that the models of Acura TL sedans built in 2007-08 have a technical fault in the power steering which may deteriorate and lead to leakage and fire. The automaker also issued a public safety to all of its Acura TL sedan drivers to take back their vehicles to Honda showrooms across the country to correct the issue.

"So far the models of Acura TL sedans built in the 2007-08 haven't witnessed any accidents or injuries in any road accidents," said an official spokesperson for the Honda Motors. "And assessing all those data through a survey, the Honda Motors felt that it would be the best in the interest of the vehicle owners of the Acura to drive back to Honda showrooms across the U.S. starting from June to fixate the problem. We are hoping that the fixing of the problem will relieve us from not worry anymore on the technical snag in the power steering hose." 

Honda Motors had a similar issue in 2004 when it recalled 273,000 TLs back to its showrooms to fix the similar technical snag in its power steering hose.

"We are hopeful that owners of such vehicles will cooperate on this issue which we are worried about," said the company. "Once the technical snag is fixed and we believe that things will be smoother. We will send letters to all the owners of the vehicles starting from June onwards."
