Holden Commodore is planning to make its grand entry into the United States' market.

According to the company's official source, the acclaimed company will be available in the North America in 2013, and it will be under a new name Chevrolet SS. According to sources, Holden Commodore will also participate in the NASCAR Sprint Cup. For the first time in 17 years, the Chevrolet SS is offering its four-door sedan with rear engine. The automaker also claimed that the Holden Commodore was born in Melbourne, Australia and not in Detroit.

"We have been longing to make a footstep to the U.S. The North America has been a great venue to start all over once again," said Greg Tyus, Holden's Executive Director. "Going by the survey reports available to us which says that there's a huge demand for Holden Commodore and even if we price tag a higher amount then still there would be customers to buy it. ...  We will be exporting a limited edition of model to the U.S. soil and only after assessing its sales then we will take a decision on whether to continue or shift our strategy to somewhere else.".

There are numerous rumors surrounding the export of Holden Commodore, yet the automaker is consistent to test its grit in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
