The driver of a Ford Mustang lost control of his sports car and landed on the roof of a home in Michigan Monday, according to ABC News.

The 83-year-old homeowner, Joyce Kingsely, said she hear a loud "kaboom" and thought that the source was extreme weather, the National Post noted.

Michigan State Police say that the driver was going about 60 miles per hour on eastbound I-69 when the vehicle began to swerve across all lanes, drove through several bushes and between trees, broke a fence, and landed on the roof of a home, Michigan Live reported.

The unidentified driver apparently suffered from low blood sugar, according to Auto Evolution. The driver was taken to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Mich. and was then released.

"The driver is extremely lucky," Trooper Ben Rowell said.

Kingsely plans to place a tarp over the damaged roof until it's fixed, according to ABC News.

"It could've been a lot worse," she said. "I'm glad everyone is all right."
