General Motors has issued a recall for almost 32,000 of its SUVs in order to fix an issue with their windshield wiper that poses a safety issue for drivers.

The problem with the wiper motors is that an electrical short could cause the motor to catch on fire, according to the Associated Press. The Detroit-based automaker first found out about the issue after a motor overheated at one of its factories.

GM has since advised owners of these vehicles not to use the wipers.

Models covered in the recall include Buick Enclaves, Chevrolet Traverses and GMC Acadias made in 2016, most of which are in North America, AP noted. Out of all the covered vehicles, 6,400 were sold, while the rest are being held at dealerships until they are fixed.

GM is tasking dealers with replacing the faulty wiper motor covers, USA Today reported.

The company said that it will send someone to pick up the SUVs if the weather keeps owners from take them to dealers, adding that if drivers can't get repair parts, it will provide rental cars in the meantime.
