Apple may not be too happy about Elon Musk's recent comments about the company, as the Tesla CEO said in a recent interview that it is a "graveyard" of people who use to work for the electric automaker.

The Cupertino, Calif.-based tech giant is among several companies that are working on car projects, but Musk doesn't appear to be worried about Apple, saying that any of the Tesla employees that it hired were not important, according to NBC News.

"They have hired people we've fired," Musk told German newspaper Handelsblatt in Berlin. "We always jokingly call Apple the 'Tesla Graveyard'. If you don't make it in Tesla, you go work at Apple. I'm not kidding."

The CEO was in Berlin to discuss the future of electric cars with government representatives, Engadget reported. He said that Tesla's plans to expand would benefit greatly from EVs being able to use bus lanes like they can in Oslo, Norway.

Musk also took a jab at one of Apple's more recent products and how it manufactures its devices.

"Did you ever take a look at the Apple Watch?" he asked, laughing. "No, seriously; It's good that Apple is moving and investing in this direction. But cars are very complex compared to phones or smartwatches. You can't just go to a supplier like Foxconn and say: Build me a car. But for Apple, the car is the next logical thing to finally offer a significant innovation. A new pencil or a bigger iPad alone were not relevant enough."

Apple has not been available to comment on Musk's harsh jabs.
