Japanese automaker Mazda has unveiled its new mobile app, called Mazda Mobile Start, which lets you remotely start the engine, lock and unlock doors, cue the alarm and pinpoint your cars location, according to Car And Driver.

The app allows the car to run idle for 30 minutes in order to let the car cool down or heat up, according to Digital Trends. However, the climate control can only be changed from inside the car. Users can check to see if the doors are locked, as well as lock and unlock from far away.

The car finder is ideal for people who lose track of where they parked. The app uses the smartphone's built-in camera and GPS to find the vehicle, but only works in open parking lot. Parking garages that are underground are out of luck. Along with these features, a panic button is also available.

The 2016 Mazda 6 sedan and Mazda CX-5 will be the first vehicles to feature the optional Mazda Mobile Start, which will cost $500, Edmunds reported. The service can be bought and installed at Mazda dealerships. With the purchase of Mazda Mobile Start, the user will have a complimentary one-year subscription to the app, with a $65 annual renewal service fee. The app can be downloaded in the iOS app store and at Google Play.
