Most drivers will do whatever it takes to make sure a bee doesn't get inside their vehicle. Then there's those select few who like driving around with five bee hives.

Montana Highway Patrol responded to an unusual call on May 22 claiming a car was "driving all over the road" with bees flying around inside the car and on the windows, according to an MHP Facebook post.

The troopers were able to find the car shortly after receiving the odd call and pulled the driver over to see what was going on. It didn't take long for them to notice thousands of bees roaming freely inside the vehicle as if it were no big deal.

"The driver was removed from the vehicle and stated the bees were harmless 'Russian Honey Bees,' the MHP Facebook post reads. "The driver had 5 hives with thousands of bees."

After talking with the driver, the troopers decided to contact a Montana apiarist to figure out how to handle the issue. While the beekeeper said it was "very unsafe" to transport that many bees in that fashion, the driver did not need to have a permit to do so, according to the Facebook post.

The highway patrol still cited the unidentified driver for careless driving, though he's lucky those pesky bees didn't get him into more trouble.
