This is it: The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, which debuted yesterday at Detroit's Belle Isle park.
The familiar design hides much more than a facelift. Under the skin is a platform shared with the Cadillac ATS, among other General Motors products, allowing for a lighter overall weight but a stronger overall structure.
Some of the best news is under the hood. Chevrolet will offer four, six, and eight-cylinder engine options for the Camaro—just like Ford does for the Mustang—as well as a variety of transmissions.
We'll have more on the Camaro in the next several days, highlighting its new range of engines, as well as the ways in which it differs from the model it replaces.
