BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept Teased Before Villa d'Este 2015

BMW has decided to pay tribute to the 1970s BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage by making a new car with the same name that will debut during the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este later this month.

The German automaker hasn't said a whole lot about the ride yet, but we did get a teaser image of the CSL Hommage on Wednesday.

Large wheel arches, a curvy LED taillight and a rear spoiler can be seen to the naked eye in the teaser, along with a yellow paint job and black accents.

BMW promises the Hommage will have a "sporty" front and rear end and "extensive use" of carbon fiber is expected for the lower section to make the ride lighter while retaining its elegant appearance.

No word yet if the Hommage will reach the production stage though we have a feeling potential buyers shouldn't hold their breath.

The Villa d'Este Concorso d'Elegance is open to the public from May 22 to 24. Stay tuned as we find out more information from BMW about the car like official interior specs and engine performance.

Tickets for Saturday are going for 9 euros ($10 USD) and Sunday tickets cost 15 euros ($17). Getting to Italy might hurt your bank account a little more.
