Acura Builds New NSX Roadster for "The Avengers"

Acura and Marvel Entertainment together announced the details of their upcoming promotional campaign for this summer's most anticipated film "The Avengers". The Acura NSX Roadster has been built exclusively for the film.

As the automotive sponsor for Marvel's upcoming movie, "The Avengers", Acura will feature a one-off convertible version of its 2013 NSX spots car. Honda said in an official statement that this car has been built specifically for the film.

The Japanese luxury car maker released an image of the new roadster, identifying it only as “An Acura convertible sports car”.

The new model is equipped with a V-6 engine and has been fitted with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Each motor drives a different wheel, which is helpful in turning around a corner as the system accelerate the outer wheel. The V-6 engine with the electric motors is expected to produce around 400 horsepower.

The movie Avenger opens in cinemas nationwide on May 4 and will feature Marvel comic characters Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, and Thor. The star cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Stellan Skarsgard and Samuel L. Jackson.
