2016 Ford F-Series Super Duty Pickups Available With Factory-Installed Strobe LEDs

Ford realizes that if you own a truck you probably have a lot to do.

Well, now the Detroit-automaker is making things a little easier by offering an available factory-installed strobe warning LED light kit for all 2016 F-Series Super Duty trucks.

The amber-lens strobe lights can be installed to the front and rear of all 2016 F-Series trucks for an additional $700, according to Ford. The lights are a no-drill option that comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.

Ford says the new strobes enhance visibility no matter when they're in use since they can be seen as far away as 1,000 feet during the day and a mile away at night. This makes the option ideal for road construction or utility crews who work irregular hours.

The strobes also come in handy when crew members need to warn other drivers that workers are on the road and that they should drive ahead with caution.

The 2016 F-Series Super Duty Trucks are set to reach dealerships by this summer, according to Ford.

To celebrate the announcement, which took place on Morse Code Day, Ford released a special video of an F-Series pickup flashing a message through its strobe lights.

We have no idea what the truck is trying to say, but the video is interesting all the same.
