From Weinermobiles to car washes, there have been some crazy car crash stories lately, but this one might take the cake.

A Pennsylvania woman told police that her pet parrot's love for coffee is the reason she crashed her car into a guardrail on Tuesday, according to a report by The Associated Press.

Angel Holyfield, 35, suffered a broken arm after crashing her Honda Accord into a guard rail around 4:50 p.m. in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Holyfield was distracted by her parrot, who has a history of drinking coffee, when the bird started pecking the lid of her cup.

Police said there was also bird seed in the cup holder next to the coffee cup as well, so the parrot might have been also been hungry at the time, according to the AP report.

Holyfield has been released from a local hospital after being treated for a broken arm and facial laceration from after the vehicle's air bag deployed, the Unionton Herald-Standard reported.

The bird was safely removed from the car and not harmed during the incident.

Officer Stefani Lucas told the Unionton Herald-Standard that Holyfield will not be charged with any infraction, though we can't say the same about the bird yet.
