F.A. Porsche, the grandson of the company’s founder, headed the design studio of Porsche since the early 1960s, when he came up with a new design for Porsche 911 to replace the previous Porsche 356. Now in its seventh version, the Porsche 911 is loved by sports car drivers.

"We mourn the death of our partner, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. As the creator of the Porsche 911, he established a design culture in our company that has shaped our sports cars to this very day,” said the company’s CEO Matthias Mueller in a tribute.
