Corvette Built in 48 Hours: Watch Ridetech's Daring Project Live

Remember those guys who built a Camaro in 48 hours back in 2011? Well they're back with a new daring project that's already underway.

Ridetech has embarked on a new project to build a four-speed C3 Corvette, purchased off of eBay, from a bone-stock example into a show car.

Company employees won't be working 48 hours straight on the project of course. Three 16 hour days were scheduled with breaks at night to allow for overnight shipping in the event that workers need any parts they overlooked or didn't think they would need.

"We think it is totally conceivable that a group of hot rod friends would get together and thrash on a car for three days to get it ready for a major event," said Bret Voelkel, President of Ridetech, according to CorvetteOnline.com.

The team started on the car at 8 a.m. on March 10, and viewers can watch their progress now by visiting their official website or watching the video below.

The stream also features a live chat so fans can discuss their progress as it's going on.

Once the car is finished, it will be driven 120 miles to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky to race on their brand new track.

The car will also compete in events throughout the rest of 2015 and in 2016, like the Goodguys autocross, Optima Ultimate Street Car events and has scheduled an appearance at the 2015 SEMA Show.
