Uber has started a magazine called "Momentum" in order to connect its 150,000 drivers with one another.
The quarterly magazine will feature news about driver regulations, how to keep hydrated and even where to find bathrooms while working.
"We want to strengthen the community of our driver partners -- currently 150,000 people strong -- by making sure you are up to date on new developments within our company and giving you new and improved methods to connect to us and one another," said Uber in statement in a blog post.
To be clear, Uber drivers are currently not considered Uber employees. But in order to have enough drivers willing to pick up Uber users the company has to keep those drivers happy, which it hasn't done a good job of lately.
The magazine was launched in six different markets: Boston, Chicago, New York City, Ohio, Oklahoma and San Francisco.
Uber has made headlines for its lawsuits and conflicts with regulators around the world. It has also been criticized by its drivers over improper treatment and not providing proper employee benefits.
"Despite all these allegations, the enthusiasm of the investors hasn't diminished and they still continue to invest funds into the company," Uber said in its blog post.
Late last week, Uber reported a data breach in which 50,000 names and license numbers had been exposed. To make up for it, the company said it will notify each driver affected by the breach and offer them a year's worth of identify-monitoring service.
The San Francisco-based company has grown into one of the world's largest startups the past couple of years. Currently the company is valued at $40 billion, serving 64 percent of the U.S. population after expanding into 210 new cities.
