David Beckham Plans to Sell Car Collections Worth $800,000

LA Galaxy soccer star David Beckham is selling his $800,000 car collection as part of his and wife Victoria's plan to cut ties with the United Kingdom and switch focus to life in the United States.

Beckham,36, has reportedly decided to clear out the garage at the house in Sawbridgeworth, Herts, that he and wife bought in 1999.

Two Bentleys, a BMW 645, a Range Rover Sport and a Lamborghini Gallardo are all expected to go. He may also sell his three Harley-Davidson motorbikes.

“David's collection is amazing and each of these vehicles is worth a fortune,” a friend told UK’s The Sun.

“They are hardly used and are kept in prize condition — but David sees little point in them just mothballing in the UK and it's not practical to ship them to America,” the friend added. “They will be sold off for other enthusiasts to enjoy.”

The move comes amid reports the couple plans to sell their UK home, known by fans as Beckingham Palace, for £18 million, as well as their £2.5 million French villa.

Presently, the Beckhams live in Los Angeles full time with sons Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, nine, Cruz, seven, and eight-month-old daughter Harper.

Victoria, meanwhile, is expected to keep a base in London, where she already has a studio for her fashion label.
